Western High School "opt-out" information

A student who is not enrolled in a course may choose to opt-out of the class by demonstrating a reasonable level of mastery of the subject matter. Passing of the opt-out exam with a C+ or better means that credit towards graduation has been earned, prerequisites waived, and graduation requirements fulfilled. Opt-out exams will be administered during the second full week of August and the first full week of January.

Written notification by a student to opt-out of a course offered must be received
by Mrs. Sullivan by the testing due date.  Please contact Mrs. Sullivan if
you have any questions regarding the opt-out process.
